according to the Federal Dental Association (BZÄK), the current recommendation of the WHO to postpone unnecessary dental visits (e.g. to a prophylaxis date) does not apply to Germany.

This WHO recommendation was made mainly for the USA, Brazil and African countries and is not comparable to the situation in Germany.

In Germany, particularly strict hygiene regulations and requirements for dental practicescontinue to apply, which ensure a correspondingly high level of protection for the patient.

A visit to the dentist in Germany does not spread infections, nor does it create an increased risk of infections of patients, practitioners and teams if all participants comply with the guidelines and use their personal standard protective equipment correctly as usual.
